Je mehr ich von der American Recording Reihe höre, desto so größer wird mein Respekt vor diesem Mann. Sicher, er ist alt geworden, die Stimme ist brüchig und kommt nicht an die des jüngeren Cash heran.
Aber diese Eindringlichkeit, dieses Gänsehautfeeling ... das Gefühl, dass jedes der Lieder, die er gecovert hat, einzig und alleine für ihn geschrieben wurde.
Eigentlich kann ich die CDs jedem ans Herz legen, der Musik für ruhigere Stunden sucht.
